A letter from the director of Secure the Future

Dear partners,

Bristol-Myers Squibb, Secure the Future (STF) recently undertook an extensive evaluation and review of its Technical Assistance and Skill’s Transfer Program (TAP). One of the most important findings was that, STF TAP needed to extend its consultancies, partnerships and dedicate resources to achieve long term uptake and sustainability of skills being transferred.

To achieve this goal and considering the limitation of our resources in terms of time, human and financial we are implementing a more focused approach to the engagement of new partnerships in 2011 – 2013. We will now be working in 8 countries only namely: Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Lesotho, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Kenya and Zimbabwe.

At the end of this three year period we will once again review our progress and impact and reevaluate our geographies.

Thank you,

Sincerely,

Phangisile Manciya, Director: Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation, Secure the Future Programme
